At the start of the project, we had a client that was unhappy with another integration company that poorly engineered the AV solution, and poorly executed the project. We were asked to come in to evaluate the needs, and determine how to make the system easier to use, and sound better for far end participants.
After inspecting, we determined that a simplified and polished approach was called for. We corrected the work by adding more microphones of a different model. We added acoustic paneling to combat all the reflective surfaces to acoustic problems, and a very simple user interface. We actually took video sources away to make the system easier to use. Having more options is not always better.
CORRECTING PROGRAMMING & DESIGN ISSUES
Incompatibility issues of the first install were reconfigured to allow PC-based video conferencing using multiple software platforms.
There may not appear to be a big difference, but look closer. Even the subtle addition of acoustic panels made impressive audio enhancements in this redesign.
